Access
The most immediate impact of the North Coast Sport Centre will be access. Right now, hundreds of children within reach of Umhlali have no access to a quality sports facility. They play on open fields, without coaching, without equipment, and without any pathway to development. The moment the pitch is open, that changes. Access to the facility will be structured, community-led, and subsidised for schools and families who cannot afford market-rate fees.
Unity
The North Coast Sport Centre will be designed from its first day to be a shared space — not a facility for one community or one school or one club. Fixture programmes, training schedules, holiday camps, and events will be deliberately structured to bring together children and families from across the social spectrum. Sport is one of the few contexts in the world where that kind of mixing happens naturally and meaningfully.
Development
Access without development is not enough. The centre will run a structured academy and coaching programme from day one — building on relationships with schools, community organisations, and professional clubs. Talented young players will have a pathway. Young people who want to coach, referee, or manage will have training. The facility will be a pipeline, not just a pitch.

The North Coast Sport Centre is built to last. The business model combines commercial facility hire, school partnerships, event hosting, and corporate sponsorship to generate the revenue needed to keep the facility operational, maintained, and fully programmed — without depending indefinitely on charitable grants.
