What We Are Building
The North Coast Sport Centre will be built in four phases, each one opening more of the facility to the community and expanding the impact of the project. The total build is designed to be completed over three to five years, beginning the moment land is secured.

Site — Umhlali, KwaZulu-Natal
The proposed site is in Umhlali — a central, accessible location on the North Coast that is within reach of both the wealthier coastal communities to the east and the inland communities of Shakaskraal and beyond. Site identification, community consultation, and legal groundwork are already underway.

Phase 2 — Astro Turf Pitch
- FIH-quality full-size astro turf
- Full perimeter LED floodlighting
- Perimeter fencing and ball-stop netting
Phase 3 — Supporting Infrastructure
- Male and female change rooms with shower facilities
- Officials’ change room
- Ablution block for spectators
- Equipment and kit storage
- First aid and emergency access point
- Basic spectator seating (250–500 capacity, expandable)
- On-site parking
Phase 4 — Sports Campus Expansion
- Second multi-use court (basketball / netball / futsal)
- Academy coaching and classroom space
- Community meeting and events hall
- Canteen / food vendor facility
- Permanent coaching and administration office
- Expanded parking and access roads
Academy & Development Programmes
From day one of operations, the North Coast Sport Centre will run structured community programmes in partnership with schools, NGOs, and coaching organisations. These include:
- After-school coaching sessions for surrounding schools
- Holiday sports camps (subsidised / free access for identified communities)
- Youth referee and coaching development
- School league fixture hosting
- Talent identification in partnership with professional clubs
Naming & Sponsorship Opportunities
Founding partners have the opportunity to attach their name to specific elements of the project — from the main pitch to the academy programme, change room blocks, or the campus itself. These opportunities are limited, permanent, and available only during the construction phase.
