About the Rise Sports Foundation
All funds raised for the North Coast Sport Centre are received and managed by the Rise Sports Foundation — the registered foundation responsible for overseeing this campaign and the long-term governance of the project.
Our Mission
The Rise Sports Foundation exists to use sport as a vehicle for community development, youth empowerment, and social cohesion in South Africa. We believe that sport — when properly resourced and intentionally structured — is one of the most powerful forces for positive change available to a community.
What We Do
Rise Sports Foundation identifies, funds, and manages community sport infrastructure projects that create lasting impact. We work at the intersection of philanthropy, community development, and sport — connecting international donors, corporate partners, and local communities around projects that change lives.
The North Coast Sport Centre is Rise Sports Foundation’s flagship project — the most ambitious, and the most important, initiative we have undertaken.
Governance & Accountability
The Rise Sports Foundation operates under full governance and accountability standards. All donations are received into the Foundation’s dedicated project account. Fund allocation is reported transparently, and all major expenditure is subject to board oversight.

Our Commitment to the North Coast
This is not a remote project managed from a head office. The people driving the North Coast Sport Centre are from the North Coast. They live here, their children go to school here, and they have seen firsthand both the potential and the gap that this project aims to address.
Rise Sports Foundation is committed to building this facility, running it sustainably, and ensuring that it serves the communities of Umhlali, Shakaskraal, and the broader North Coast for generations.
